Software from Focus provides the perfect platform for local authorities wishing to publish their Local Offer on the web.
We've been working with SEND reform groups and parent / carer forums to create an effective and flexible IT solution for the Local Offer. Our software is available in two versions, helping to meet tight budgets and bespoke requirements.
Our entry level 'Lite' version is based around a manageable directory of service providers, which users can search by keyword and postcode. Organisations themselves can login and manage their own data, including posting links to an external web site or document where their SEND data is published. This self-serve model of data management helps to reduce administration resource, but with moderation built in, means local authorities retain control.
Users are able to provide comments to the council through an easy to use feedback form, and there is also a blog for publishing latest news, announcements and articles.
The 'Lite' platform costs £5000 per year, which includes all setup, hosting and technical support. Training and additional services, such as ongoing data management, are also available, and the software can be deployed in weeks, helping local authorities meet upcoming deadlines.
Local Offer 'Full'
The enterprise version of our Local Offer software is based on the concept of a personalised portal of information that is unique to each user - whether they are a young person, a parent, a carer or a professional.
Each individual's portal features service providers, events, activities and articles that are based on them and their requirements. There is no need for users to search for information, it is fed proactively to them and updates automatically in line with their circumstances. Users can build multiple lists of 'favourites' as well as 'saved searches' and export results and organisations as print-friendly PDF documents.
Service providers can 'self serve' their own data and publish their Local Offer on the web site itself, making comparision of SEND data easier for users. An email based reminder system encourages organisations to regularly review their data ensuring it is up to date.
Users are able to submit reviews about individual service providers and events - providing local authorities with an excellent source of feedback for ongoing review of Local Offer. If appropriate, this feedback can be published on the web site.
Our 'Full' platform costs from £15000 per year, which includes all setup, hosting and technical support.
Ongoing Data Management
We recognise that the Local Offer requires ongoing resource to manage and administer - so we offer a proactive support and account management service that includes:
- helpdesk provision for organisations and event providers looking to add and edit information within the portal - including email, phone and 'live chat' support.
- moderation of user generated information such as comments and feedback.
