Focus New Media are manufacturers and suppliers of computer software applications, our main activities include specification, design, development and distribution of such systems with the majority published using internet protocols and servers.
By using web and email based systems and communications, often as a substitute for paper based messages or travel, we feel we are contributing positively to the environment and conservation of resources.However we do recognise that our day to day operations inevitably impact on the environment in a number of ways and we want to minimise potentially harmful effects of such activities whenever we can.
In particular, Focus New Media will:
- regard environmental regulations, laws and codes of practice as the minimum standards of environmental practice.
- ensure that our policies are implemented by our staff and help them understand the relevant aspects of the policy through guidelines, regular communications and action plans.
- promote the recycling of office materials and items purchased and use recycled materials where possible.
- minimise waste in operations and product development, and conserve resources through efficient use and planning.
In addition we are committed to providing funding for research into renewable energy sources and forest restoration programmes through our partnership with Climate Care.
